Dealing with Diversity and Change
Dealing with Diversity and Change
is designed to present an awareness of the value of diversity and organizational change in today’s multicultural workplace.  It will cover the principles necessary to understand the dynamics of a diverse workplace and to develop strategies for working with people from different age groups, cultures and genders.  The course provides strategies relating to change, including new ideas and practices, and how to solve problems related to their implementation.  Participants will learn how to set achievable goals, make effective decisions, as well as recognize, anticipate, and effectively manage diversity and change in the workplace.

   

Ethical Principles for Leadership
Ethical Principles for Leadership
will enable participants to examine different value systems and the complexities surrounding ethical decision making.  The material will cover individual behaviors and actions when confronted with legal and ethical choices.  It will also explore the principles and standards considered to be “right” or “wrong”, with a special emphasis given to leadership roles within the organization.  Participants will learn to recognize the value of ethics in today’s workplace, legal considerations of ethical decision making, the qualities of ethical leaders, and how to evaluate and set personal ethical priorities.

   

Coping with Stress and Conflict
Coping with Stress and Conflict
is designed to make participants aware of the various types of conflict that can result from stress in the workplace. Participants will examine the traditional organizational structure where policies, procedures, and job descriptions define the limits of responsibility. Other views holding that conflict is positive and should be encouraged for the good of the organization and the individual will also be examined. Participants will learn how to develop leadership strategies for the resolution of workplace conflict; differentiate between dysfunctional (negative) and functional (positive) conflict; recognize the importance of the leader/manager’s role in managing conflict; develop interventions and practical approaches for conflict management, and develop strategies for conflict resolution through real-life experiences and interactive exercises.

Effective Teambuilding & Communication
is essential for good management and is the underpinning for all other workplace activities. This course will enable participants to learn to communicate effectively in order to accomplish individual and team goals, as well as leverage collective strengths within the organization.  It will show participants how to develop a shared understanding of goals and values, group interaction skills, and expand their capacity for change. Participants will learn how to recognize the importance of developing team building and communication skills for an effective workplace; understand and appreciate the role teams play within the organization; establish clear communication channels within the team, and understand the importance of meeting schedules and objectives.

Leading & Empowering for Maximum Productivity
will enable managers and prospective managers to recognize the significance and importance of delegating authority to meet specific goals within the organization. The course will also explore ways for employees to assume responsibility and to operate at their maximum potential. Participants will examine the art of delegation through a combination of decision-making, team-building, and employee empowerment exercises for the purpose of improving organizational operations and creating a positive workplace environment; identify the elements of empowering a work environment; develop steps for successful delegation to select employees; recognize the importance of work climate and trust; develop ways to inspire employees to meet their maximum potential, and recognize the importance of empowerment and delegation through real-life experiences and hands-on exercises.

Strategies for Improving Co-worker Relations
will provide an overview of best practices in how to create a positive corporate culture by working together in a spirit of cooperation. It will show how employees can create a climate of mutual success in today’s workplace through the discovery of specific employee relations strategies.
Participants will learn how to define and explore ways to achieve “good employee relations”; discover ways to create individual employee satisfaction; explore ways to motivate employees toward higher productivity, and understand how to build and promote employee loyalty.
